Wednesday brought another batch of Seven Seas Entertainment licenses with it, including an audiobook for Ryusen Hirotsugu and fuzichoco's She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man. Narrated by Peter Biles, the first volume is set to launch on April 17, 2025.Other licenses include boys' love manhwa My Bias is Showing?!, the Wakaba Won't Give Up! manga and more.

Nine years after starting the series on self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro, BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. author Yuumikan announced in the latest chapter release today that the story has reached its conclusion.The following message by Yuumikan was shared:BOFURI is complete!Thank you so much for all your support!I believe it was only thanks to everyone's help that it was able to reach a satisfactory conclusion.I hope this happy and fun-filled journey, made up of miracles, has been the same for all of you. Starting later this year, Sailor Moon fans will get to add to their collection of Naoko Takeuchi's classic manga in box set form. As part of a multi-day announcement series, Kodansha revealed plans to release the second Sailor Moon Naoko Takeuchi Collection Manga Box Set in Fall 2025.The second set includes the remaining volumes of the main series (7-10), as well as volumes 1 and 2 of the Codename: Sailor V prequel, 16 art cards and a sticker set. It all comes in a holographic box with a magnetic enclosure.Beyond that, Kodansha announced an update for its print-on-demand publishing program, Kodansha Print Club.

Kodansha's multi-day series of Fall 2025 reveals continued today with the addition of six new print licenses. Kodansha has some big releases coming later this year. The publisher announced omnibus editions for Yuki Urushibara's Mushishi; Minetaro Mochizuki's Dragon Head; and Koma Warita, Riku Tsuchida, ZAG and Toei Animation's Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.  The Mushishi manga will be collected in new hardcover omnibuses with an original translation and new cover art.

Originally serialized in Young Animal Zero starting in 2019, the Dur-an-ki manga features an original story by Berserk creator Kentaro Miura and art by Studio Gaga. Hakusensha officially ended the manga after Miura's passing in 2021, and now it's making its way to shelves in English in a single-volume collection from Dark Horse.Dark Horse announced plans to publish the Dur-an-ki manga in English with a handful of bonuses, including the original story outline, concept art and other material showing Miura's creative process. Junji Ito's terrifying Tomie debuted in 1987, introducing a villainess who was seemingly as unkillable as she was beautiful. For nearly 40 years, she's been one of Ito's most iconic characters. And this month, she's a magazine cover girl!Asahi Shimbun's weekly AERA magazine, a news and photography publication, will feature new art of Tomie by Ito on the cover of its February 24th issue.

Readers of Gouten Hamada and Takeshi Seshimo's award-winning manga Shimazaki in the Land of Peace may have noticed that the manga's protagonist bears a striking resemblance to actor Mads Mikkelsen. There's a good reason for that: Mads was indeed the inspiration for the character! Manga artist Leiji Matsumoto's first large-scale exhibition titled "The Galaxy Express 999 50th Anniversary Project Leiji Matsumoto Exhibition -Journey of Creation" is scheduled to open at Tokyo City View in Tokyo from June 20 to September 7, 2025.Matsumoto's masterpieces Galaxy Express 999 and Space Pirate Captain Harlock began serialization in 1977 and will celebrate their 50th anniversaries in 2027.

Following Hiroya Oku's 37-volume Gantz manga—which was also collected in 12 omnibus books—Dark Horse is giving Gantz G a similar treatment. After inspiring five seasons of anime, four live-action films and more thus far, Yasuhisa Hara's Kingdom manga is finally coming to English readers. VIZ Media announced its license of the historical epic, with plans to release the manga for the first time in English on November 11, 2025.  After the release of each graphic novel, Kingdom manga will also join VIZ's Shonen Jump service.

The MF GHOST manga is nearing the finish line! After a run of about seven and a half years, Shuichi Shigeno's successor to Initial D has just three chapters left to go. The announcement was made in this year's 10th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine.

Fiery football action started in Weekly Shonen Jump this week with the launch of Embers in the magazine, as well as in English on the Shonen Jump app and MANGA Plus. Embers is the first manga by writer Kei Kurumazaki and artist Sotaro Nishii, who previously was an assistant on the popular soccer manga BLUE LOCK.To celebrate the publication of Embers’ first chapter, the Japanese Shonen Jump YouTube channel released a video introducing the series' lead characters.Embers Manga Trailer Embers is available to read in English from VIZ media and MANGA Plus. Another series from Trigun creator Yasuhiro Nightow is getting the omnibus treatment with some upcoming Blood Blockade Battlefront collections. Tomohito Oda's Komi Can't Communicate rom-com manga, which follows a stunning but socially awkward girl's quest to make 100 friends, today published its final chapter in Weekly Shonen Sunday after being serialized in the popular magazine since May 2016. The titular Komi graced the cover of the issue, with the word for "Graduation" displayed alongside.Weekly Shonen Sunday Issue #9 An anime adaptation of Komi Can't Communicate aired for 12 episodes from October 2021, featuring direction by Ayumu Watanabe and Kazuki Kawagoe and animation produced by studio OLM. Another 12 episodes followed in April 2022, all streaming on Netflix.

Shortly after the premiere of the Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another World anime earlier this month, Seven Seas Entertainment revealed the license of the manga adaptation of the original light novel series. 2024 marked the 60th anniversary of Cyborg 009: Shotaro Ishinomori's classic sci-fi manga which has received a variety of adaptations over the decades. In honor of the occasion, an exhibition will be held at the most perfect place possible: the Ishinomori Manga Museum!Cyborg 009 -9 Characters- will mark the Ishinomaki-based museum's 95th exhibition. Individual booths will spotlight each of the nine leads, and visitors can also peruse exhibits showcasing the appeal and longevity of the series.

Crunchyroll announced today during Sony Group Corporation’s CES 2025 press conference that a new digital manga application will join the service as a premium add-on, slated to launch later in 2025. The app will launch as a standalone, called Crunchyroll Manga, on iOS and Android with web browser support planned for the future. Crunchyroll Manga will first launch in English in the United States and Canada, with other language options planned.Stay tuned for a list of titles and publishers in the future.

More Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is on the way... this time in manga form! A new spinoff will be coming to Comic Newtype in Spring 2025.Titled Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury: Seishun FRONTIER ("Youth Frontier"), the manga will be a "parallel story" set in near-future Japan, where Suletta and Miorine meet as high school girls.HISADAKE, who served as Setting Assistant for the original Witch from Mercury TV anime, will pen the scenario for Seishun FRONTIER.

Fate/strange Fake isn't the only active battlefield for the Holy Grail right now! Today, December 26, marks the print release of Volume 1 of the manga adaptation of Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver. To mark the date, the manga has released a voiced trailer introducing readers to this branch of Kinoko Nasu's Fate saga.The original light novel series, penned by Hikaru Sakurai as a prequel to the Fate/Prototype OVA, ran from 2014-2017.
