Crunchyroll to Launch New Manga App in 2025
Crunchyroll announced today during Sony Group Corporation’s CES 2025 press conference that a new digital manga application will join the service as a premium add-on, slated to launch later in 2025. The app will launch as a standalone, called Crunchyroll Manga, on iOS and Android with web browser support planned for the future. The Noto Peninsula Earthquake was an inland crustal earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024 at 16:10 JST on the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. The magnitude of the earthquake was М7.6, and the city of Wajima and the town of Shiga, Hakui County, observed a maximum intensity of 7. Oshi no Ko Manga Celebrates Final Volume with Tokyo Dome City Takeover
Tokyo Dome may have originally been built as a home stadium for the Yomiuri Giants, but the indoor baseball venue has also become the site of massive concerts. Kagurabachi Manga Slashes Through 1.3 Million Copies Sold

My Hero Academia’s Kohei Horikoshi Unveils Official Marvel Art, Teases Next Manga
My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi wears his love for American superheroes on his sleeve, and that admiration is mutual. Coinciding with the release of the manga's 42nd and final volume today in Japan, an official art exchange collaboration with Marvel Comics featuring illustrations by Horikoshi and artists Edgar Delgado and Humberto Ramos was unveiled.Series fan Oliver Coipel was originally slated to provide the illustration before having to withdraw due to illness. Chainsaw Man Manga Roars Past 29 Million Copies in Print
While the Chainsaw Man anime has been off screens for a little while in preparation for the Reze Arc film, Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga is still going strong in its second part, bringing forth the story of Denji dealing with Asa – or realistically, Asa dealing with Denji. Before volume 19 releases in Japan on December 4, the Shonen Jump website revealed in an editor's comment that the entire series has surpassed 29 million copies sold (digitally) and printed (physically). The figure did not note whether or not the stat is worldwide or just centered on Japan.This print run update brings the Chainsaw Man manga an increase of one million copies in print since the last update in July 2024 and two million copies since the May 2024 update.- 0

Final My Hero Academia Manga Volume Release Date Set for Japan with New Content
The date is set for the final volume of the My Hero Academia manga release in Japan. Following the end of Kohei Horikoshi's series on August 5, volume 42 will wrap things up in collected form on December 4, 2024.The final volume will also include 38 pages of original manga set after the final chapter, according to the series' official X (formerly Twitter) account. Following the release of three new chapters on self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro today, including an epilogue and a prologue, In Another World With My Smartphone author Patora Fuyuhara confirmed the conclusion of the isekai series' decade-long story.Fuyuhara first began publishing the series online in April 2013 before it was picked up for print by HJ Bunko in 2015 and subsequently adapted into both manga and anime. Choujin X Manga to Collab with Kiiro Akiyama for New Song “Wannabe”
Later this month, singer Kiiro Akiyama will be releasing a song in collaboration with Choujin X—the ongoing manga series by Tokyo Ghoul creator Sui Ishida. Titled "Wannabe," the track drops November 19, in conjunction with Volume 11 of the manga.Ishida and Akiyama are known to be mutual fans, with Akiyama being a long-time reader of Choujin X and Ishida citing Akiyama's music as "BGM" for scenes in volumes 8 and 9 of the manga. My Hero Academia Gets Anime Visual to Celebrate the Manga Reaching 100 Million Copies in Print
It has been a few months since the My Hero Academia manga passed the massive milestone of 100 million copies printed physically and sold digitally, and back then, creator Kohei Horikoshi released an illustration of Deku, All-Might, Bakugo and Todoroki lookin’ snazzy. To continue those celebrations, the anime team has converted that illustration into an anime visual in the style of the series we know and love! The anime visual will be used for merchandise in the future and will also feature in the My Hero ULTRA IMPACT smartphone game.- 0
