The official accounts for the DAN DA DAN series revealed today that Yukinobu Tatsu’s Shonen Jump manga has surpassed 10 million copies in print as the series is set to release its 19th volume on April 4 in Japan. To celebrate, a commemorative accolades trailer was released with footage from the series thus far. Parasyte Manga Returns to Print with New Covers, Updated Translation
Kodansha announced plans to bring Hitoshi Iwaaki’s Parasyte manga back to print in a new way. Following the previous release of color versions, new editions are planned that include Iwaaki’s original black and white art, as well as an updated translation, new covers and new interior design.The full original series will be collected in eight volumes starting this fall. The Law of Ueki creator Tsubasa Fukuchi recently launched a new manga titled Parashoppers, and now it’s officially live in English. VIZ Media announced the license of the series, kicking off a simulpub and making the first seven chapters available to read immediately.The series first kicked off in the pages of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine on January 22. Fans of Shin'ichi Sakamoto's Innocent manga will be able to dig into the sequel in English later this year. Dark Horse Manga announced plans to release Innocent Rouge in omnibus form, with the first collection set to launch in bookstores and comic shops on October 21 and 22, respectively. GeGeGe no Kitaro Manga Author Shigeru Mizuki Enters Eisner Hall of Fame
Following the July-announced winners of the latest round of Eisner Awards, the 2025 inductees into the Eisner Hall of Fame have been announced. A total of 21 individuals were selected this year, nine of which are still living, and among the late creators is revered manga author Shigeru Mizuki.Mizuki was a pioneer in the manga world, creating stories based on his World War II experiences as well as more fantastical series. He tapped the supernatural world of yokai to great effect for his most famous series, Hakaba Kitaro, which picked up after the work of writer Masami Ito and Keiyo Tatsumi and would eventually be renamed GeGeGe no Kitaro.- 0

City Hunter Manga Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Tokyo Art Exhibition
February 26, 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the original publication of Tsukasa Hojo's City Hunter manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump manga magazine, and to celebrate an art exhibition will be staged from November 22 – December 28, 2025, at the Ueno Royal Museum venue in Tokyo, Japan. New key art (below) has also been published to commemorate the anniversary. As part of a multi-day announcement series, Kodansha revealed plans to release the second Sailor Moon Naoko Takeuchi Collection Manga Box Set in Fall 2025.The second set includes the remaining volumes of the main series (7-10), as well as volumes 1 and 2 of the Codename: Sailor V prequel, 16 art cards and a sticker set.
