His most enduring series, though, is Ghost in the Shell—and this manga and anime classic will be the foundation of an upcoming exhibition launching this spring.The World of Masamune Shirow Exhibition -Ghost in the Shell and the Trajectory of Creativity- celebrates not only the legendary creator's work, but also the 30th anniversary of the Setagaya Literary Museum. The event will trace Shirow's career from his early works to the present day, with a special focus on Ghost in the Shell.

A new TV anime adaptation has been announced for Ghost in the Shell, the classic cyberpunk manga by Shirow Masamune. Tentatively titled The Ghost in the Shell, the new TV anime is scheduled to broadcast in 2026 and features animation production by animation st
