Crunchyroll and Aniplex of America announced today that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will re-release theatrically in the United States and Canada starting May 14, with select international regions also releasing the movie starting the same day. The Mugen Train re-release will newly debut in 4K and be available both in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub. Variety shared an exclusive report covering what’s in store for this year’s Annecy Animation Showcase, which plans to highlight five titles as part of Cannes’ Animation Day on May 18. Among them is Sunny, which has Tekkonkinkreet director Michael Arias helming an adaptation of Taiyo Matsumoto's manga.Details are light at the moment, but GKIDS is producing the dwarf studios feature, with completion penciled in for sometime in 2029.
