Universal Studios Japan is getting a monkey of an upgrade next month as Donkey Kong Country crashes into Super Nintendo World on December 11. Nintendo creative fellow and Donkey Kong creator Shigeru Miyamoto revealed the news during a special Nintendo Direct, where he walked through the new area and teased the games around it and the Mine-Cart Madness ride. Nintendo Reveals Switch Successor to Be Backward Compatible
In the most on-brand way for Nintendo, the video game company revealed massive news for the upcoming Nintendo Switch successor console through its investor briefing and a text post on X (formerly Twitter). Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa posted on the social media service that the Switch successor will be backward compatible, letting people play their Nintendo Switch games and use Nintendo Switch Online on the new, still not formally announced, console. In the briefing, Nintendo confirmed that “a broad selection of titles released for Nintendo Switch” will be available on the Switch successor, likely with the base Switch games needing updates to work 100% on the successor console.- 0
