It's time to take Luffy out to the ball game once again, because One Piece is returning to Fenway Park! Following last August's ONE PIECE Night event, Toei Animation has teamed up with the Red Sox again to host Boston Red Sox X ONE PIECE Theme Day. The event is set to kick off on May 3, 2025 during the team's game against the Minnesota Twins.

We're just a few months away from the launch of Universal Fan Fest Nights, which will include immersive One Piece and JUJUTSU KAISEN experiences. It runs at Universal Studios Hollywood from April 25 through May 18, 2025, and tickets are officially on sale now.General admission starts at $74 and tickets go up in price from there depending on the options chosen. Beyond the anime-inspired experiences, Universal Fan Fest Nights has attractions themed around Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons and Back to the Future, as well as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the debut of Yoshi at Super Nintendo World.

Every month, a new rendition of “We Go!” debuted as the opening tune for the One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga, the currently airing remastered version of the titular saga that was broadcast over a decade ago. The next two teams of artists to sing the iconic song were announced tonight, all of them hailing from VTuber agency Hololive, ready for the remixes release in February and March before the series returns for the second half of the Egghead Arc. In February, Maki Otsuki (who previously sang “Dear sunrise,” the 20th ending theme for One Piece, and memories, the original ending) will team up with Fubuki, Houshou Marine and Tsunomaki Watame to perform “We Go!.” Mine Kushita, who composed “Dear sunrise” will once again be composing this version of the iconic opening.

The cast for the One Piece live-action series—which adapts Eiichiro Oda's ongoing manga—continues to grow today with the announcement of three new cast members joining the second season. Following on from yesterday’s castings, today the live-action portrayals of the revolutionary Dragon, Alabasta guard Igaram and Loguetown resident Ipponmatsu were revealed. Amongst all the new things happening with One Piece right now, the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s continues production. Tonight the official accounts for the series unveiled three more villains for the Straw Hats to take down in their travels, including Baroque Works member Miss Goldenweek and Drum Island residents K.M. One Piece has another sports tie-in lined up, this time with the Los Angeles Lakers. Luffy and co. will hit the court for the LA Lakers Game Night Collab on February 28, 2025.

The One Piece anime has stayed at port for the last few months to bring up the quality of the series, and in its place, a remastered version of the Fish-Man Island Saga is airing to tide fans over until the return. The age of battles is upon us, and one Roboco is making their dreams come true! At the ME & ROBOCO special stage at Jump Festa 2025 today, the series announced that One Piece’s Luffy will inspire a new character for the upcoming ME & ROBOCO anime film. Mayumi Tanaka, Luffy’s voice actor, will also take the reigns to voice this Roboco version.

Iñaki Godoy, who plays Luffy in the live-action One Piece series, has been practicing his Japanese skills over the past year for one moment – to talk directly with Eiichiro Oda without the need for an interpreter.  That moment came in the form of an interview between the two creatives released on one of Netflix’s YouTube accounts today, where Godoy not only spoke with Oda about what makes Luffy such a compelling protagonist but also made the One Piece creator laugh on many occasions.  The first season of the live-action One Piece series debuted in August 2023.

The official YouTube channel for the seven-member Japanese dance and vocal boy band BE:FIRST has started streaming a music video for their latest digital single song "Sailing." The song is now featured as the ending theme for One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga, the special edited version of the One Piece TV anime's Fish-Man Island arc.The song was produced by Chaki Zulu, the producer of BE-FIRST's previous digital single song "Bye-Good-Bye" and "Hush-Hush," and co-written by Satoru Kurihara (Jazzin'park), keyboard player Atsushi Inoue, and SKY-HI. The group members SOTA, SHUNTO, and RYUHEI, who are all avid One Piece fans, also participated in the lyric-writing process.The music video was created to express BE:FIRST's love for One Piece, with the worldview of “BE:FIRST, a cheerful musical pirate group.

As the long-running One Piece anime takes a well-earned breather, it was revealed today that a beloved member of the Straw Hat crew won't be returning when the voyage continues in April 2025. Kazuki Yao (65), the voice of Franky since his debut in 2005, is retiring from the role and will be a part of a graduation ceremony at Jump Festa 2025 on December 22, where his replacement will also be announced.Yao also voiced Jango, Mr. 2 Bon Clay and Mounblutain in the anime.

One Piece may be known for its boats, but next year in Japan, Eiichiro Oda’s epic will also be synonymous with Shinkansen travel in the Sanyo region. The series will be getting three trains on the Shin-Osaka to Hakata line. JR West announced on Friday that three Shinkansen will be decked out in One Piece drip, with the first train to set sail on the route in Spring 2025, lining up with the Osaka Expo that starts in April 2025.

The official accounts for the One Piece manga announced yesterday that the series will not appear in the next two issues of Weekly Shonen Jump. The long-running series will be going on a two-week hiatus due to series creator Eiichiro Oda's health.The decision was apparently made late in the publication process, as Weekly Shonen Jump warns that One Piece is included both in the table of contents and as an option on their feedback postcard. The publisher apologizes for the inconvenience.

Vegapunk’s broadcast revealing the world of One Piece was one of the biggest moments in the series thus far and the in-universe World Government was not happy about the speech being spread far and wide. As that message spreads outside Eiichiro Oda’s manga series, the World Government is again trying to limit its reach in the newest trailer for the 110th volume of the One Piece epic, blanking out some crucial information about the Void Century.The trailer is paired with a large advertisement in the basement of Shibuya Station near the Denentoshi Line and exits A0 and A1. The advertisement is 21 meters long and features every panel from the volume, with the offending (to the World Government) panels blacked out.

There’s so much going on for One Piece right now that the entire system needs some time to catch up. The official One Piece X (formerly Twitter) account announced alongside the release of this week’s Weekly Shonen Jump that Eiichiro Oda’s epic will be going on a two-week break while Oda is busy working on the second season of the One Piece live-action show. In place of the chapters, a special feature from the creator himself will be released each week.

While the Egghead Arc takes a break, the One Piece anime recently announced plans to pivot to a newly-edited take on the Fish-Man Island arc, complete with enhanced visuals and more. The first episode was set to kick off this Sunday, October 27, but those plans have changed thanks to the live broadcast of the MLB World Series.Following the postponement, the official One Piece channels announced the first episode of One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga is now scheduled to debut on November 3, 2024 in Japan. Crunchyroll recently announced plans to stream One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga as it airs, describing it like so:The Straw Hats reunite at Sabaody!
