The next DLC character to join the roster of Tekken 8 may seem out of left field, but Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI couldn't be more fit to fight. If you've been waiting for the PC release to dive into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second of the remake trilogy is almost ready to leave PlayStation 5 exclusivity. One of the first big reveals during tonight's The Game Awards was introduced as a new standalone game, which made it all the more surprising that it was Elden Ring. Epic Games Publishing took The Game Awards 2024 as an opportunity to reveal the next game from genDESIGN and Fumito Ueda, known for critically-acclaimed games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian. Details are light at the moment and there isn't even a title in place, so for now we'll just have to settle for the teaser trailer below.New Fumito Ueda Project TeaserUeda first made waves as director with Ico in 2001. The Like a Dragon devs at Ryu ga Gotoku Studio revealed two back-to-back projects during The Game Awards tonight. First up was a tease for SEGA's next mainline Virtua Fighter game, more of which is being revealed during a standalone presentation starting tonight at 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time.There's also something in the works called Project Century, an action game set in 1915.

The Onimusha series is getting ready for a comeback. Capcom dropped a big surprise at The Game Awards with the reveal of an Okami sequel project. Not only is there more Okami on the way, but Hideki Kamiya is back as director for the followup at his newly-founded studio Clovers.  No further details were announced, but you can see the announcement teaser below.Okami Sequel TeaserHideki Kamiya directed the original Okami at Clover Studio, and it first launched for PlayStation 2 in 2006.
