The TRILLION GAME live-action feature film opened in 345 theaters in Japan on February 14, 2025, earning 616 million yen (4.06 million USD) on 438,000 admissions in its first three-day weekend, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha. The latest film is a sequel to the 2023 TV drama based on the manga series created by Riichiro Inagaki (story) and Ryoichi Ikegami (art).TRILLION GAME made a first-place debut at the weekend box office and beat the latest entry from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Brave New World, in second place, which earned 463 million yen (3.01 million USD) in its opening weekend in Japan.

In its fourth weekend of release, the advance theatrical screenings of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, a re-edited version of the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV series, earned 191 million yen (1.26 million USD) on 112,000 admissions, dropping two spots from last weekend to fourth in the weekend box office ranking, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha.The anime's official X (formerly Twitter) reported that the screenings have built up a cumulative of 2.25 billion yen (14.83 million USD) earned from 1.382 million tickets sales after a 24-day run. The release has now surpassed the 2021 film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's total domestic gross of 2.23 billion yen (14.7 million USD). It also now ranks third in the theatrical release of the Gundam anime series, behind Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM (2024/5.38 billion yen) and Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space (1982/2.3 billion yen).

After holding the top spot for two consecutive weekends, the advance theatrical screenings of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, a re-edited version of the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV series, moved down to second in its third weekend. The release collected 271 million yen (1.75 million USD) on 180,000 admissions, decreasing by half from last weekend, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha. While exceeding the gross box office, it fell just short of the live-action film 366 nichi ("366 days"), which drew 181,000 viewers in its fourth week of release.

In its second weekend, advance theatrical screenings of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, a re-edited episode version of the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX TV series, earned 528 million yen (3.41 million USD) on 306,000 admissions — only a 12 percent week-on-week drop — retaining first place in the box office ranking according to Kogyo Tsushinsha. The anime's official website also confirmed that the film's performance in the two-day weekend between Saturday and Sunday was 107.6 percent in gross and 106.8 percent in attendance compared to the previous weekend.The screenings now have a total of 1,432,794,300 yen (9.24 million USD) earned from 856,371 ticket sales in ten days since debuting in 426 Japanese theaters on January 17. The two-weekend gross was 75.2 percent of that of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM in February 2024 (1.9 billion yen).
